New Wines I have Tried

Hi Everyone,

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that I love Red Wine!  And I love experimenting and trying new wines.  I have tried some new wines lately that have been fabulous and I thought I would share.

I have tried a 2007 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Bordeaux – a nice different wine.  I don’t drink alot of Bordeaux’s so I found this one really different but very enjoyable, and at approximately $16 per bottle, its worth a try.

Probably the best buy in the Liquor Store right now is a 2006 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Meritage.  At just under $20, its extremely smooth and easy to drink.  The name Robert Mondavi is synonymous with California wine and this one does not disappoint.   Dark fruits with plum and black cherry notes, this wine goes with everything.

My recent ‘treat wine’, you know what I mean…. the wines you don’t buy all the time, and you treat yourself to a good bottle.  Well my recent treat wine was a La Fiole Chateau du neuf du Pape.   Apparently this is one of the biggest selling Chateau neuf du Pape’s in the world and the reason being is consistent great wine year after year.  This wine is made up of  80% Grenache, 7% Syrah, 7% Mourvedre, and 6% Cinsault.  Aged for 1 to 5 years in oak casks this is a beauty.

Definitely a wine worth sharing, they all are.

Cheers

Darlene
